Marriott International has opened five hotels throughout Japan, broadening the spectrum on the country’s scenic destinations where visitors can enjoy everything from eco tours in the mountains to a dip in the hot springs and distinctive and diverse cultural experiences.
Craig Smith, President and Managing Director of Marriott International Asia Pacific, said the company has partnered with the Mori Trust Group in expanding its flagship brand, Marriott Hotels, across Japan.
“At Marriott International, we currently have 40 hotels open in Japan and 10 in the signed pipeline,” he said. “Japan remains one of the top travel destinations in the world and we want to welcome a new generation of globetrotters to discover unique corners of the country, which will spark new ways of thinking about Japan as a destination.”
Whether guests are seeking refuge from the big cities by embarking on an eco-tour into the mountains, or taking a dip in the healing hot springs, distinctive cultural influences can be uncovered in each of the deluxe hotels in key leisure destinations. Authentic regional cuisines can be savored at the hotels’ onsite restaurants, all named The Grill & Dining G Restaurant. The five hotels are gateways to exploring Japan’s stunning scenic beauty, from the lake area surrounding Mount Fuji to the white sandy beaches, temples, bamboo groves and modern art further afield.
